ABS Gets 1st Place at the 2021 American Royal BBQ Competition

Earlier in the month of September, our very own ABS of Squeal BBQ competition team went to Kansas City to compete in the 2021 American Royal BBQ Competition. They were competing against 470 of the best smoke master competition teams in the World!

American Royal World Series of BBQ

The American Royal World Series of Barbecue is one of the largest barbecue contests in the world! Not only that, but it is American Royal’s biggest fund easier of the year. All of the proceeds that they earn during that weekend go straight to supporting youth and education in agriculture. The long-going competition is going on its 41st-year. Although the BBQ may be the most delicious part of the weekend, it is not the only attraction. The annual event also rodeos, horse shows, livestock competitions, and much more!

BBQ Competiton

“ABS of Squeal” competed in the brisket category. They scored a perfect 180 points on their entree. That was good enough to have them tie for 1st place with another team that also scored a perfect 180 points. To get their perfect score they started their award-winning brisket on the American Barbecue Systems Pit-Boss Rotisserie Pit to give it an even cook, and then finished on the American Barbecue Systems Bar-Be-Cube Pit for the perfect finish!
